Bluewater is now offering high throughput COVID-19 testing.
Covid-19 Testing Information and Options
Bluewater has been recognized by the state of Kentucky for expanding the state’s COVID-19 testing capacity to include employers, hospitals, nursing homes, government agencies and individuals in need of a test. Bluewater has the capacity to test well over 1,500 samples per day with results available within 24-48 business hours of receipt. There are three ways which specimens are collected: on-site at an employer’s workplace, at Bluewater’s mobile collection sites, or through one of our partnered medical care providers.
Individual Testing
Telehealth: If you’d like a telehealth visit with a healthcare provider prior to your collection, Bluewater facilitates a telehealth option. This provider will manage your COVID-related care. Click here to schedule a telehealth appointment.
Mobile Collection Sites: For individuals wishing to be tested without a telehealth visit, choose a convenient time and location from the mobile collection sites listed below.
Specimen Collection: Go to the mobile collection site on the desired date and time with identification and insurance information (if applicable).
Results Reporting: Results are available within 48-72 business hours from specimen collection (24-48 business hours after receipt at the laboratory) and reported by text message.
Positive Results: In the event of a positive test result, a Bluewater staff will attempt to reach out for further questions.
Cost: Testing is at no cost to those wishing to be tested (no deductibles, copayments, or coinsurance). All claims are submitted to the patient’s insurance provider or to federal programs for the uninsured according to of the CARES Act.

BLUEWATER MOBILE COLLECTION SITES
Activity at mobile collection sites may be subject to change without notice due to inclement weather or other unforeseen factors. Drive-up only collection sites are first come first serve, Bluewater cannot guarantee wait times.
